Guitar Arpeggio

If a chord is defined as two or more notes played at the same time then arpeggios mean the otherwise. Hence, arpeggios are two or more notes played one at a time.

Examine the diagram below:

The above example is in the key of C. Basically, the way the notes are played is by starting from up to down and vice versa.

The famous song "House of the Rising Sun" of the Animals is one good example to learn how to play guitar arpeggios. It's chord progression is as follows : Am - C - F - Am - E - Am

Another song with evident arpeggios is "Colour My World" by Chicago.
