Major Scale

Major scale is very important to familiarize not only to easily understand how chords are formed but also in doing guitar solos. Below are fretboard diagrams of different guitar major scales:

The fretboard diagrams show color-coded dots to identify notes 1,3,and 5. These are the notes to play to form a major chord. Dots with no colors are part of the major scale pattern which are also essential in doing guitar adlibs.
