Pentatonic Scale

The pentatonic scale is composed of 5 notes, thus the word penta meaning five. These notes are within the major scale. The pattern is easy to learn because of its minimal number of notes to be played.

As a suggestion, use fingers 1 and 3 to move around the pattern. This is the easy way to learn guitar pentatonic scales as far as finger positioning is concerned.
